FATHER BOYLE
We were amused by your Father Boyle article. As lifelong residents of Boyle Heights, we have lived with and have observed the activities of those “misunderstood youths” Father Boyle has attempted to help. We view these gang members as common thugs whose complete lack of responsibility is the reason they do not rehabilitate themselves.
Father Boyle, though well-intentioned, would do well to demand Christian behavior from his flock and effect some long-lasting change instead of piecemeal social programs that do nothing for their souls.
