PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Craig’s Injury Merely a Bruise
Tailback Roger Craig suffered only a bruise to his left shoulder in the loss to Atlanta and said he will play Sunday against his old teammates, the San Francisco 49ers.
“The trainers told me he should be ready to go,” Coach Art Shell said. “There doesn’t seem to be any major damage.”
Ronnie Lott, still adjusting to the transition from free to strong safety, probably played his best game Sunday against the Falcons. “It was the first time I started feeling like I was doing something,” Lott said.
Shell on the Falcons, who beat the Raiders and screamed it to the world afterward: “Sometimes, when you’re not accustomed to something, you don’t know how to act. . . . If they think one game will make their season, more power to them.”
