Two police officers and two firefighters assigned to the West Valley were honored Thursday for longtime and outstanding service at a luncheon sponsored by the Tarzana Chamber of Commerce.
Honored were: Los Angeles Police Officers Rodney Forrest, a training officer and 20-year department veteran, and Harold Hollywood, a detective and 23-year veteran; Fire Department Battalion Chief John J. Adams, a 36-year veteran; and Firefighter Jerry Hall, a 19-year veteran.
The police and firefighters, chosen for recognition by their peers, each received a plaque and written commendations from public officials, including Mayor Tom Bradley. Luncheon guests at the Braemar Country Club included Deputy Police Chief Mark A. Kroeker, the Valley’s top-ranking police official, and actor Chuck Norris, a Tarzana resident. About 110 people attended, said Leah Graver, the chamber’s executive director.
