THE TRAIN, MAYBE . . . : A new survey by county transportation officials finds that people want to be whisked to work by a commute train, but they’re not willing to go too far out of their way to ride it and many won’t pay more taxes for it. . . . Respondents said they want a shuttle to take them to the station, and barely more than half said they would support a tax increase to pay for a rail project--not enough to pass a tax raise.
