Countywide : Voter Registration Deadline Is Oct. 7
The last day to register to vote in the November elections is Oct. 7.
The California election code says that residents must register a minimum of 29 days before an election.
A resident must re-register after moving, changing a name or changing party affiliation.
Seats up for grabs in the Nov. 5 election include positions on the Ventura City Council, the Ventura County Board of Education, the Ventura Unified School Board and the Community College Board, as well as in several other school districts across the county.
Bond and tax measures affecting specific school districts will also be on some ballots.
