JOB CUTS--Trustees of the financially strapped Montebello Unified School District will review plans Tuesday to lay off about 50 non-teaching employees. The trustees meet at 7 p.m. at 123 S. Montebello Blvd.

TRAVELS IN TURKEY--A film by former Associated Press correspondent Hal McClure on Turkey’s past and present will be shown at the Pasadena Library, 285 E. Walnut St., at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (free).

FIGHTING GANGS--Judges, parent groups, and police and probation officers are scheduled to participate Friday in the 11th annual conference on youth gang issues sponsored by the Los Angeles County Probation Department. LITHUANIAN FAIR--The food, art, music and dress of Lithuania will be celebrated in the fifth annual fair Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of St. Casimir’s Catholic Church in Los Feliz, 2716 St. George St. ($5; children under 12 free).
