A 24-year-old Thousand Oaks man was killed Monday after being thrown from his motorcycle in a collision with a car at the corner of Windsor Drive and Briarcliff Road, authorities said.

Manuel Perez was thrown to the ground after the car crossed in front of him and his motorcycle hit it broadside shortly before 3 p.m., authorities said. He was pronounced dead at 4:15 p.m. at Los Robles Regional Medical Center, Deputy Coroner Jim Wingate said. An autopsy will be conducted today. Wingate said the cause of death was probably head injuries.

Authorities are looking for the man driving the car and plan to seek a charge of felony hit-and-run driving. The car was found abandoned less than a mile from the accident scene.
