South Pasadena : Design Review Panel OKd
The creation of a city commission to review the design of new building projects and renovations received final approval from the City Council last week.
In a 4-0 vote Wednesday, with Councilman James S. Woollacott Jr. absent, the council established a 10-member advisory panel to consider design proposals for residential, commercial and industrial developments and most exterior changes to existing buildings.
The design review board will consist of at least four architects and two landscape architects or contractors. All of the members, who will be split into five-member teams, must be experts in a design-related field.
The board’s rulings may be appealed to the Planning Commission.
