Driver Dies When Speeding Car Flips Over
An 18-year-old man was killed late Friday when he lost control of his car while driving west on Highway 78 in Oceanside at speeds exceeding 90 m.p.h., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Salvador Puentes Sandoval was driving a 1988 Nissan Sentra about 10 p.m., weaving in and out of westbound traffic, when he lost control of his vehicle, officers said.
The car hit the center median, flipping end over end, and rolled several more times. Sandoval was thrown from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
