Elderly Man Found Slain in Apparent Beating
An elderly man was found apparently beaten to death Saturday in his apartment in South-Central Los Angeles, but police were still searching for evidence and were not speculating on a suspect or motive for the slaying, said Lt. Mike Downing of the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Division.
The man, whose identity was not available, was found at 5:15 p.m. at 609 1/2 W. 45th St., Downing said.
