A woman whose partially clad body was found next to a smoldering car was identified Sunday by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department as Angela Fisher Alzahrani of Oxnard.

The 22-year-old woman’s body was discovered by a farmer Saturday morning in a field near Sturgis Road near Oxnard after she was apparently chased there and bludgeoned to death, sheriff’s officials said.

Sheriff’s investigators said Sunday that Alzahrani was found next to her blue 1977 Toyota Celica, which had been set ablaze by her assailant.
