Faulk Has 5 More Touchdowns for Aztecs

Freshman Marshall Faulk ran for five touchdowns, raising his NCAA-leading total to 16 Saturday night in San Diego State’s 47-21 Western Athletic Conference victory over Hawaii at Honolulu.

Faulk, who scored seven touchdowns and rushed for an NCAA-record 386 yards against Pacific earlier this season, carried 22 times for 212 yards.

After Faulk’s nine-yard scoring run in the first quarter, the Aztecs (3-2 overall, 1-1 in the WAC) scored 26 points in the second on Faulk’s scoring runs of 12 and five yards, T.C. Wright’s eight-yard touchdown run and field goals of 38 and 24 yards by Andy Trakas.

The Aztecs extended the margin to 47-0 in the third quarter on Faulk’s 63-yard run and a one-yard plunge before Hawaii (3-3, 2-2) scored.
