Region : Tree-Planting Project Set
Volunteers are being sought to collect acorns throughout the region this fall and to plant oak seedlings in the Arroyo Seco area around the Devil’s Gate Dam.
A local environmental group, the Arroyo Seco Council, is sponsoring the tree-planting project, which will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at Oak Grove Park on Oak Grove Drive in La Canada Flintridge. The acorns will be used to germinate seedlings for next year’s planting.
