A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody in connection with the stabbing death of another teen-ager, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
The stabbing occurred about 1:20 a.m. Saturday after an argument and fight broke out at a party in the 9900 block of San Juan Street, authorities said.
The 16-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he died. He was killed by a single stab to the torso by a kitchen carving knife, Sheriff’s Sgt. Roy Stamper said.
The suspect was waiting for deputies and was taken into custody without incident, Stamper said. He was being held at Juvenile Hall.
