Share

The Glendale Unified School District moved closer toward decentralization Tuesday by forming a special advisory group composed of parents, students, teachers and administrators as part of the schools’ 2000 Plan.

The 33-member committee will be chaired by Donald Empey, deputy superintendent of educational services. It is charged with reviewing current district and school practices and making recommendations on how to implement school-based management to provide greater sharing in decisions by schools.

The committee will also address budgeting and curriculum development and evaluation issues.
