SALARIES: Pay raises are in decline in the private sector (D1), but the hikes just seem to keep on coming in government. . . . Orange County supervisors have just wrapped up annual salary increases for most of their employees, and now it’s time to turn to themselves. Next week, the board is expected to vote on their own raises and those of other top county executives. No word on the amounts, but other county workers got about 4%. Look for the board--whose members are paid $82,054 a year--to get about the same.
