Beverly Hills : Halloween Carnival Revived
Scared by the thought of going into the red, city officials cut the Halloween carnival from their budget this year.
But as the door was shut on the annual event, members of the PTA and other local groups rallied to revive it.
Leaders of the PTA council, the school district, the Firefighters Assn., the Police Officers’ Assn., Arrive Alive and residents raised $5,500 to bring the Halloween carnival back to life.
Recreation Supt. Steve Miller said the the carnival will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at La Cienega Park on Thursday.
