A man was slain in a vacant lot in Logan Heights late Wednesday, shot at least six times as neighbors listened, police said.
Guillermo Lopez-Casteneda, 30, who had no known address, was found dead in the 3200 block of Martin Street, Police Lt. Paul Ybarrondo said. Lopez-Casteneda had at least six wounds in his head and upper body, the lieutenant said.
Residents from neighboring homes and an apartment building told officers they heard several shots fired; some saw muzzle flashes, Ybarrondo said. No one identified the person who did the shooting.
