A shot fired from a passing vehicle wounded a 21-year-old man in Southeast San Diego late Friday, authorities said.
San Diego police said Robert McKinney was hit by a single round fired by an unidentified gunman in a vehicle heading west on Imperial Avenue near the Greenwood Cemetery at 11:56 p.m.
McKinney was taken to Paradise Valley Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Saturday.
Investigators said the suspect in the other vehicle pulled up and shot McKinney in the left knee. Police say they don’t know the motive.
