A 3-year-old Inglewood girl killed in a drive-by shooting was identified Tuesday by police, who released a revised description of the gunman’s truck. The toddler, Erma Esquerra, died Monday at Centinela Hospital Medical Center, less than a day after a gunman sprayed bullets into the car in which she was riding, said Police Sgt. Alex Perez.

Police said they have no motive for the shooting and do not believe it is gang-related. Additional witnesses have come forward, describing the truck as a full-sized pickup with side rails on its bed. Initial reports that a small blue pickup was involved appear inaccurate, Perez said.

In addition to Erma, a 6-year-old boy and a young man were riding in a car driven by Enrique Ramos on Sunday night. The car stopped at a red light in a left-turn lane behind the pickup, Sgt. John Hough said. A man in the truck turned in the car’s direction and fired shots into the front window, Hough said.
