A witness has given sheriff’s deputies descriptions of two men suspected in the Oct. 5 slaying of 22-year-old Angela Fisher, who was found dead in the Oxnard Plains next to her torched car, authorities said Thursday.

The witness told Ventura County sheriff’s deputies that he saw two men towing a compact car toward the area where the car and Fisher’s body were found 5 1/2 hours later, authorities said.

One man was driving a white Chevrolet pickup, and the other was steering the car, which was being pulled with a chain, the witness said.

Fisher, who had been sexually assaulted, was found Oct. 5 with her head bludgeoned by a rock and a piece of concrete. Her light blue 1977 Toyota Celica, which was engulfed in flames, was parked next to her. She was last seen alive driving away from her Oxnard home at 2 that morning.

The man who was driving the pickup is described as white, in his mid-20s, with a long face, straight, shoulder-length blond hair and possibly bangs. His truck was a late 1970s or early 1980s full-size, half-ton model, with a flat gray back bumper and a white metal lumber rack that extended partway over the cab.

The man who was in the car is described as white, in his mid-20s, with a round, tanned face and dark brown, stringy hair with no part. His sideburns extended about an inch below his ears, and he had a skimpy mustache, a noticeably wide mouth and round eyes, the witness said.

Anyone who has seen the men or the pickup or has any information relating to the murder investigation is asked to call Sgt. Mike Barnes at 654-2353, or Detective Rick Gatling at 654-2341. After business hours, detectives can be reached at 654-5161.
