Four firefighters suffered minor injuries Thursday battling a greater-alarm blaze that caused an estimated $350,000 in damage to a warehouse in South-Central Los Angeles. By late afternoon, investigators had still not determined the cause of the 7:02 a.m. fire, which “heavily damaged” the single-story, 50-by-100-foot building at 110 W. Imperial Highway, said city Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
One firefighter suffered second-degree burns on one of his hands, another was treated for bruises and two suffered ear injuries, Wells said. All of them were released after being treated at a hospital. It took two dozen firefighters about 40 minutes to put out the flames.
Damage was estimated at $200,000 to the structure and $150,000 to its contents.
