* Neil A. Friedman has been named executive vice president of Edward R. Pressman Film Corp. Friedman will oversee financial and business operations for Pressman, which is expanding its output in the wake of an investment from Japan’s ASCII Corp.

Friedman previously served as executive vice president of Price Entertainment. He was also a vice president for business affairs at New Line Cinema. Pressman’s latest release is the David Mamet thriller “Homicide.”
