Nordhoff 27, Fillmore 0--Junior running back Adam Blundell’s 71-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter highlighted a 20-point fourth quarter for host Nordhoff.
The victory helped Nordhoff (5-3, 2-0) stay in the hunt for its first league title in football since 1956. Fillmore is 2-6, 0-2.
Nordhoff put together an eight-play, 42-yard scoring drive one minute before halftime. Junior quarterback Steve Saum found wide receiver Justin Dickenson with a nine-yard scoring pass to give the Rangers a 7-0 halftime lead.
Nordhoff running back Nacho Vega gained 106 yards in 26 carries, including a four-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
