Orange Coast Dolphins in Semipro Playoff
The Orange Coast Dolphins semipro football team will play host to the Southern California Storm in a Southern California Football League semifinal playoff game at 6 tonight at Glover Stadium in Anaheim.
The Dolphins are 10-1 and ranked fourth nationally by the Minor League Football Alliance. The Storm, based in Ontario, is 9-2 and ranked ninth.
Today’s other semifinal matches the Fresno Bandits (11-0, ranked No. 2) against the Ventura County Cardinals (7-4, No. 18) at Fresno.
The Dolphins are led by quarterback Frank Seurer, a former Edison High and Kansas standout who has thrown for 1,133 yards and 15 touchdowns, and running back Thomas Maney, who has 705 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Dolphins’ defense has allowed only 66 points and has five shutouts.
