With terminals in San Bernardino and Los Angeles, the new system--called “METROLINK”--is to have stations in Rialto, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Montclair, Claremont, Pomona, Covina, Baldwin Park and El Monte. The line is scheduled to begin operations next year. It is planned as the first component of a proposed 400-mile commuter rail system throughout Southern California.
