Oxnard 22, San Marcos 14--Lloyd Mix ran for two touchdowns and had his second consecutive 200-yard rushing game to lead the Yellowjackets to the win at San Marcos. Mix, who had 204 yards in 24 carries, broke a tackle at the line of scrimmage and raced 80 yards on Oxnard’s first play. He scored the game-winner on a 19-yard sweep midway through the third quarter.

Defensive back Chuck Harrington sealed the victory with an interception with one minute remaining after the Royals had marched to the Oxnard 22.

Oxnard took a 14-0 lead on its second possession when quarterback Larry Bumpus (seven of 14 for 79 yards) hit Chris Kaleleh with a nine-yard touchdown pass.
