Miami regained sole possession of second place in the Associated Press college football poll, setting up a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown with Florida State Saturday at Tallahassee.
The Hurricanes (8-0), who were tied with Washington (9-0) for the runner-up spot last week, moved ahead of Washington, 1,413-1,412. Florida State (10-0) held on to the top spot with 1,492 points.
