NBA ROUNDUP : Sacramento’s Road Losing Streak at 40

Karl Malone scored 29 points and Jeff Malone added 21 Monday night at Salt Lake City, where the Utah Jazz beat Sacramento, 106-90, handing the Kings their 40th consecutive loss on the road.

The Kings, 1-40 on the road last season, concluded the year with 37 road losses and have added three more this season.

John Stockton had 15 points and 13 assists, and Mark Eaton blocked eight shots for the Jazz. Lionel Simmons scored 33 points and Mitch Richmond 17 for the Kings, who shot only 40.9%.

Philadelphia 102, Milwaukee 99--Hersey Hawkins scored 21 points and Charles Barkley had 17 points and 15 rebounds at Philadelphia as the 76ers won their fourth consecutive game.

The Bucks trailed by as many as 23 points in the second quarter but closed to 81-80 on a three-point play by Jeff Grayer with 7:05 remaining.

The 76ers rebuilt their advantage to 89-83, but the Bucks rallied and a three-pointer by Jay Humphries made it 94-93 with 1:18 left. But they never led.
