A man robbed the Great Western Bank in Camarillo of $890 at noon Tuesday after handing a threatening note to a teller on a withdrawal slip, authorities said.
The note said, “Give me all your 50s and 100s or I’ll shoot,” Senior Sheriff’s Deputy Dave Brannan said. The robber was described as 6 feet, 170 to 180 pounds, wearing a dark baseball cap, dark sweat shirt and dark pants.
The teller handed over all the $50 and $20 bills in her drawer, although she saw no gun, Brannan said.
The robber, who was the only customer in the Ponderosa Road bank at the time, fled on foot. No one was injured.
