A 25-year-old Thousand Oaks man, accused of raping a 14-year-old girl after taking sexually explicit photographs of her, will be arraigned Monday, authorities said Wednesday.

Bill R. Galione was arrested Saturday about 9:30 a.m. and was booked at Ventura County Jail on suspicion of rape, felony child molestation and employment of a minor to perform prohibited acts, Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Coons said.

Galione was released on $20,000 bail Saturday night, Coons said.

Coons said the Thousand Oaks girl had accepted rides home from school from Galione twice before Nov. 4 when, instead of taking her home, he took her to a house where he rents a room.

Galione told the girl that he wanted to submit photos of her to a modeling agency, and she agreed reluctantly, Coons said. Coons said Galione arranged the girl’s clothing, asked her to perform sexually explicit poses and then raped her.

People who may have had similar encounters are asked to call Coons at 494-8215 or Detective Cheryl Bassett at 494-8227.
