Share

When Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks and Detlef Schrempf of the Pacers were ejected for fighting after 14 minutes Wednesday night at Indianapolis, the Indiana Pacers led, 38-28.

Without their big man, the Knicks cut the deficit, but in the stretch there was nobody to take his place and the Pacers pulled out a 110-107 victory.

Two minutes into the second quarter, Ewing hit Schrempf in the head with his elbow. Schrempf pushed Ewing and the two started punching. Although no blows landed, both players were ejected.
