Accident Knocks Out TV, Power to 7,000
A motorist hit a power pole on Grand avenue in Pacific beach Monday night, knocking out power for transmitters on Mt. Soledad and putting Channels 8 and 10 off the air temporarily during Monday Night Football.
The motorist left the scene without reporting the incident. Several radio stations and about 7,000 other San Diego Gas & Electric customers were also without power for a while.
