Cheyenne Brando Flown to Tahiti for Questioning
Actor Marlon Brando’s 21-year-old daughter Cheyenne flew from France to Tahiti on a French military flight and in police custody Monday as part of an investigation into the killing of her lover in Los Angeles, officials said.
Her half-brother, Christian Brando, is serving a 10-year prison sentence for voluntary manslaughter for shooting Dag Drollet, 26, at the movie star’s mansion in May, 1990.
She will be interrogated in Papeete, Tahiti, by Judge Max Gatti, who has been looking into her link to Drollet’s death. U.S. prosecutors tried unsuccessfully to subpoena her to testify at Christian Brando’s trial. She was considered a key witness because she dined with her brother hours before the shooting and reportedly told him that Drollet had been abusing her.
