Tom Gullikson will be Pete Sampras’ new tennis coach, said Sampras’ former coach, Joe Brandi.

“(The parting) was initiated by Pete,” Brandi told the Bradenton (Fla.) Herald. “We both felt it was the thing for both of us to do. It had nothing to do with money, because he compensated me very well.”

Gullikson until recently coached Jennifer Capriati. He is one of the U.S. Tennis Assn. coaches.
