Channel Checks: KTLA said Thursday that its coverage of the Rose Parade on Jan. 1 will air commercial-free for the first time. For the last 15 years, the channel has superimposed corporate logos on the lower third of the screen with a voiceover message while the parade was in progress. . . . John Wayne’s daughter, Alissa Wayne, will visit “Live With Regis & Kathie Lee” on Monday (9 a.m., Channel 7) to talk about her new book, “John Wayne, My Father.” . . . Tony Danza of “Who’s the Boss” says on “Entertainment Tonight” (7 p.m. on Channel 4) that his character will be getting married to Judith Light’s character before the season is out. . . . In an interview with “Hard Copy” from his prison cell, James Earl Ray says he did not act alone in planning the murder of Martin Luther King Jr. Ray says he was a decoy and that King was slain by a splinter group of FBI agents with their own agenda. The interview will air in the next few days.
