Pedestrian Killed on I-5 Near Border
Investigators were trying to identify a man struck and killed by a car as he was attempting to cross Interstate 5 about a mile north of the border, the county medical examiner’s office said Thursday.
The man was hit Wednesday night in the southbound lane of Interstate 5 south of Dairy Mart Road, California Highway Patrol Officer Tom Christian said.
The driver of the car was identified as Javier Caraga de la Pascua, 29, of Mexico. He was not cited in the accident, which occurred at 8:05 p.m.
