COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Master’s Rolls to Title Without Bryant, 112-63
Jason Webster scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds to spark The Master’s College to a 112-63 victory over visiting San Jose Christian in the championship game of The Master’s basketball tournament Saturday.
Stuart Epperson added 15 points--including three three-point baskets--and had five rebounds.
The Mustangs’ offensive outburst came without senior forward Joe Jon Bryant, who sat on the bench in street clothes. Neither Bryant nor Master’s Coach Mel Hankinson would comment on Bryant’s absence from the lineup.
“It’s a technicality,” Hankinson said.
