CHANGING TIMES: Women no longer head straight for the altar--even when pregnant, says the U.S. Census. In 1990, more than 47,000 Orange County households were headed by women either divorced, widowed, or never married. Women’s options have grown due to rising acceptance of single parenting and better wage opportunities, say experts. . . . “Nobody likes loneliness,” says Lynn Posey, a local specialist in family life. “On the other hand, relationships are difficult. Our whole faith in marriage has been jarred.”
