The Ventura County Crime Stoppers Program has offered a $1,000 reward for help in identifying a robber who attacked two elderly women in the Thousand Oaks area recently.

An 84-year-old woman was pushed to the ground by an assailant Nov. 22 as she unlocked the door of her Avenida de las Flores condominium. The woman was frightened but not hurt.

The suspect reportedly grabbed the woman’s purse and fled in an older, full-sized brown van.

Both victims described the suspect as about 5 feet, 6 inches in height with a medium to chubby build.
