Olney Checks Out: Veteran Los Angeles newsman Warren Olney is leaving KCOP-TV Channel 13 after tonight’s newscast, according to the station’s news director Jeff Wald. Olney, who has been a fixture on local television news for a quarter century and at KCOP for the past several years, notified Wald earlier this week that he “has some other things he wants to do. It was very amicable and very sad for me,” Wald said Thursday.
