Enthused About Tull

Share

Once again, the review of a recent rock concert (“A Lack of Imagination Traps Jethro Tull,” Dec. 16) raises an old question: Was the reviewer at the same concert I was?

I attended Dec. 14 and 15. Jean Rosenbluth evidently never noticed the wildly enthusiastic audience reaction, nor the obvious fun the band itself was having. The basic problem seems to be that Rosenbluth doesn’t like Tull to start with.

Rosenbluth dismissed the loyal fans of more than 20 years, implying that the loyalty the group inspires is a black mark against it. Come on--the age range alone in the Universal Amphitheatre should have made it clear that the power and appeal of this band is real.
