Man Held After Prowler Reported
A 37-year-old Thousand Oaks man was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery Friday evening after a woman reported to police that she had spotted a man skulking around her Thousand Oaks home, authorities said.
Tony Alan Gwinn was in the Ventura County Jail on Saturday night in lieu of $10,000 bail, according to a statement by Ventura County Sheriff’s Sgt. Gregg W. Whitesell.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gwinn on Siesta Avenue in Thousand Oaks about 5 p.m. Friday after a young woman who lives at that address called police to report that she had seen a man trying to pry open windows and doors, Whitesell said. The young woman was home alone at the time, Whitesell said.
