Before a hometown crowd, Rosalynn Sumners won her first U.S. Open Professional Figure Skating Championship women’s title at Seattle.

Sumners, a native of nearby Edmonds, skated a near-flawless program Saturday night to hold off challengers Charlene Wong of Canada and Rory Flack of the United States, scoring four perfect 10s from the seven judges.

Scott Williams won the men’s competition, defeating 1984 gold medalist Scott Hamilton, who fell during his performance.
