Collision Kills Man in Lake View Terrace
A Lake View Terrace man was killed Monday morning when his car was broadsided by a pickup truck on Foothill Boulevard, Los Angeles police said.
Asmelash Tarekegn, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head injuries.
Police said the accident occurred about 5:30 a.m. in Lake View Terrace as the victim left the Foothill Freeway and pulled his car in front of the truck. The driver of the pickup was treated at the scene for knee scrapes.
