NBA Loses Right to Sell Jordan Apparel: Basketball superstar Michael Jordan has told the NBA that it may no longer sell apparel bearing his image, giving Nike Inc., those rights exclusively, according to a story int he Oregonian of Portland. The move means the loss of millions of dollars to the NBA. Beaverton, Ore.-based Nike already rakes in about $200 million a year on Jordan’s image, through such products as its Air Jordan line of basketball shoes.
