Jail Inmate Disappears From Work Crew
Authorities are looking for a jail inmate who disappeared from a county-operated work site Friday.
Alejandro Duarte Diaz, 24, who was assigned to a work crew at 1725 W. 17th St., was discovered missing at 3:07 p.m. Friday, said Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Olson.
The site is one of many work locations run by the County General Services Agency.
Diaz was arrested in December on possession and sales of drugs and was due to be released from custody on June 19, Olson said.
“He is not considered to be a danger to the public,” he said.
