Two Oxnard banks located several miles apart were robbed Monday of undetermined amounts of money, but the robberies apparently were not related, police said.
The first robbery occurred at 9:44 a.m. at California Federal Bank on Saviers Road when a Latino man gave a threatening note to a teller, Oxnard police said.
“I have a gun, give me all your money,” his note said.
The thief was described as 25 or 30 years old and 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with black hair and a mustache, and wearing a white or light-pink button-down shirt, police said.
In the second incident, an Anglo man in his late 20s to early 30s handed a note demanding money to a teller at Security Pacific Bank on A Street at 11:30 a.m., police said.
That thief was described as 6 feet to 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 180 to 200 pounds, with black hair and possibly wearing a work shirt, police said.
