FULLERTON — Two Buena Park men were killed Friday afternoon when their car slammed into the rear of a parked tractor-trailer rig, police said.
Driver Angel Sanchez Gaona, 26, and passenger Jesus G. Mendoza, 31, died instantly in the 12:38 p.m. collision in the 4100 block of West Commonwealth Avenue, Sgt. Glenn Deveny said.
Gaona was driving his Mustang west on Commonwealth when it ran into the rear of the legally parked big rig, Deveny said. No skid marks were visible.
“We have no evidence of speed other than the testimony of one witness, who said he thought they were going the speed limit,” Deveny said.
