Buried Body Found After Man Sees Hand
A man walking his dog in Lancaster found a human hand sticking out of the ground, which later led to the discovery of a buried body, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said.
The severely decomposed, fully clothed body was excavated Monday morning by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office, Deputy John Ashley said.
The cause of death and the identity of the man have not been determined.
The body was discovered Sunday morning near 18th Street East and Avenue L, Ashley said. After his dog sniffed out the bone, the man noticed that it looked like a human hand and notified the Antelope Valley sheriff’s station.
